What is Side Project Hub?
Side Project Hub is a weekly blog and platform that curates the best side and indie projects, from all around the world. We hope to showcase amazing side projects through this blog, and a discovery engine where everyone can discover side projects, for all makers, builders, normal users and much more alike.
What is the mission of Side Project Hub?
The mission of Side Project Hub is to build a place on the Internet where side projects can thrive. We hope to assist everyone to develop and work on amazing side projects alike. We hope to make this place into the ultimate community for all indie hackers.
Who runs Side Project Hub?
Side Project Hub is operated by Jst Tan. Jst Tan is an indie maker and curator who is passionate about developing side projects, highlighting creative projects and supporting other builders too. Jst Tan is a Malaysian teenager, and an active member in the Build In Public community on Bluesky. This project is one of his own side project and being built in public in real-time.
How to submit projects to Side Project Hub?
At Side Project Hub, we welcome everyone to submit their own side projects and indie projects to us, so we can take a look at them. You can submit a project through the “Submit” page, accessible through the blog website navigation, and filled in the information required in the form, which is displayed on the page. Please fill all of the information accurately, as we wouldn’t be entertain false information.
What kind of projects is listed on Side Project Hub?
We accept all types of projects, like anything built by indie hackers, solo developers or small teams. We accept projects, like web apps, mobile apps, tools, plugins, side hustles, marketplaces, AI tools, open source projects and fun experiments. If it is creative or very useful for others, we would love to see and look through it.
Are submissions guaranteed to be listed?
Although manual project submission have a higher chance of being featured, no guarantees will be provided that it will be listed at Side Project Hub. We handpicked amazing projects to maintain the quality and authentic in Side Project Hub, but we will try to respond to all submissions and provide a detailed and expert feedback when we could.
Is listing on Side Project Hub free?
We welcome all users and readers of Side Project Hub to submit their projects to us. All projects are welcomed at Side Project Hub and will be listed for free. All submissions can be provided totally for free. We also have sponsored placement infrequently to raise some fund for this project and will be marked clearly for the understanding of all users.
How to support Side Project Hub directly?
Side Project Hub is a passion project, maintained by Jst Tan. If you had a good experience with Side Project Hub, we encourage you to support us by sharing this project to your friends or donate a little amount of money. You could also support us by commenting on our posts in this blog too.
How often do new content is made?
We will post content weekly for now, but we plan to expand on more content publication soon on every week. We will publish amazing content on every Saturday. We also have a bonus drops once in a while, for community events or new updates.
Can I interact with other members?
Yes. We currently have a comment section on each posts we published on the blog in Side Project Hub. We also planning to launch an upcoming forum for this blog too. We also have a CommonGround community where everyone can connect with each other through #Side Project Hub on Jeston’s Guild.
Are there any events in Side Project Hub?
Yes, we occasionally ran amazing events, like co-working hour, launch parties, monthly check-up call and much more. These events is open to all members of this blog, and is free to join. We hope to create these events so everyone can socialise and have fun.
Are there any sort of newsletter within Side Project Hub?
Absolutely. We believe that it is the best way to stay in the loop, as everyone can receive the latest publication directly through e-mail. Although we operate a newsletter, we only send one email per week for sharing amazing side projects, through highlighting the coolest new projects and builder stories.
Do you offer paid promotion through Side Project Hub?
We try to offer a few transparent and limited paid placements in our blog every month through ad slots and sponsorships, so amazing projects can be reached to a wide range of users while generating us some money to maintain this blog. However, we never promote something we do not believe in, so all paid content is clearly labelled with no exceptions.
How can I give feedback, suggest features or anything?
We love to listen to the feedback from all of our users alike. We welcome all members to contact us through our Contact Us page or submit ideas through our communities. We try to fulfil all feedbacks we received and make it the best experience for everyone. We treat all feedback seriously and equally alike.
Do you support international languages?
This website is for everyone around the globe. Currently, all content on our website is available in English only. We are currently planning to add more languages to the website in the near future, including languages like Mandarin Chinese, French, German and much more. We are currently planning to make this blog into multilingual, so people from all countries can enjoy this together.
Do this website listed international projects?
This website is made for everyone, regardless of country, languages or background. If your side projects are interesting, we will love to featured it in the blog. We featured projects based on merits, instead of country, languages or background. Although we welcome all projects, we personally prefer projects with an English version, so we can understand it further.
